Take a BREATH

Every now and then it’s important to take the time

Taking a break from the fast life pace, the tasks, the responsibilities, the pressure

Traveling somewhere far, and focusing on ourselves

The UpsideDown Retreat is a special experience that combines learning and deepening

Of handstands and free diving

Improving breathing, focus

Relaxation

The retreat takes place on the pleasant Neta Negev Ranch located near Eilat.

The ranch is close to Eilat, and easy to get from there to the dives

And yet feels completely isolated

This is a small, intimate retreat that allows each participant to receive personal attention

And to finish the weekend with a lot of new knowledge, new experiences

New friends

And new energy to continue!

Free Diving Course / Guided Training

You can choose between a basic course, advanced course or guided training in free diving.

All in-water activities are accompanied by experienced free diving instructors.

On the first day we will learn about the different styles in free diving, the proper technique for diving that will allow us to stay calm and relaxed, thereby prolonging our time underwater.

We will learn about equalizing pressure in free diving. And we will learn the basic breathing that will make you feel very calm and focused, preparing you for diving in the best way.

After that we will enter the water and practice everything we talked about, the maximum depth on the first day – 12 meters!

On the second day we will deal with safety in free diving, and learn how to dive safely and enjoyably while taking care of ourselves and our buddy!

We will practice emergency cases in the water, under close guidance and supervision. And of course we will practice everything we did on the first day.

On the second day everything feels much more comfortable and familiar, and you feel a big difference in the dives. Maximum course depth – 21 meters!

Of course there is no obligation to reach this depth in order to successfully complete the course – depth is only a result of relaxation and letting go, which is our entire focus on the course. And of course, enjoying the dive 🐳

On the third day we will all go for a fun, free snorkeling dive at Ketsiot Beach, where there is a good chance of seeing dolphins and enjoying the rich Eilat Bay reef.

At the end of the course you will receive an international certificate from the Apnea Total diving organization.

The practice is delivered with an emphasis on personal attention and includes all diving equipment required for the duration of the course and dives.

Who's teaching

Gil Fox, free diving and yoga instructor.

Studying and teaching inner awareness through breath, movement and connection to the body and underwater world.

In the quiet between inhale and exhale, we can dive into the depths of our consciousness, meet ourselves in the most intimate place, and lovingly accept everything we encounter within.

Breathing is a spontaneous action that occurs from our first moment to our last. The moment we bring awareness and mindfulness to it, it becomes a tool that will accompany us wherever we go, making our lives calmer and more peaceful.

“In recent years I’ve gradually realized how connected everything is – the practice deepened the diving and the diving deepened the practice. I found that combining the two brings me inner balance and great happiness.”

The dives will be accompanied by free diving instructors, according to the number of participants.

Handstands

Handstands are not a strength exercise. They do require some strength to be in the inverted position, but the important part is proper technique and form.

In the handstand sessions we will focus on correct technique – from building a proper body alignment, through different positions and transitions between them, to types of kick ups.

The handstand meetings are suitable for all levels and the exercises will be tailored to each participant’s abilities.

Whether you’re trying to figure out how to build a proper handstand or working on advanced skills like one-arm transitions – you have a place here.

Who's teaching

Yuval Oz, a circus artist specializing in handstands for the past 18 years.

Personal student of Claude Victoria (France).

Performs and teaches handstands in Israel and worldwide.
